Christy Borgeld is the founder of National Stepfamily Day.
Like many new stepmoms, Christy struggled to fit into that role. Trying to find help and support was nearly impossible in the early 1990s, but Christy was on a mission.
She wanted to bring stepfamilies together, stop the stigma and break stereotypes while accepting the good with the bad.
The result, National Stepfamily Day, is what she calls a time to “come together, be positive role models (and have our) relationships be decent and respectful.”
